SWELLING AND ABDOMINAL TENSION
Do you also suffer from abdominal swelling?
The belly is our second brain, according to scientific studies and the PNEI (psycho-neuro-endocrine-immunological) vision and, like the brain, it produces psychoactive substances that influence our mood and our psycho-physical well-being, such as serotonin, the body pleasure hormone.
Digestion is analogous to brain functions. The intestine processes, digests, assimilates and has the ability to discern what comes to it from the outside on both a physical and emotional level. The intestine behaves just like the brain in sending stress signals and therefore playing a fundamental role in the release of hormones dedicated to well-being, it is as if it were responsible for the distillation of matter.
The causes of swelling and tension can be multiple such as:
- irregular and rushed eating
- super stressful lifestyle that causes accumulation of anxiety that becomes internalized
- “crystallized” psychosomatic tensions on the abdomen
However, unheard or repressed emotions can cause tension, pain, even creating a "balloon in the belly". Especially if there are indigestible, heavy thoughts, situations or people that we cannot accept or "digest" (just like heavy food).
The emotions connected to all this is anger, which can be experienced in the form of frustration, anger, repression, injustice and despondency.
So, in addition to paying attention to what we ingest with food, we must pay attention to the thoughts we "digest" and the emotions we repress!
